curated"Aging with Grace: An Anthroposophical Approach to the Later Years"
Rudolf Steiner described old age as a time when the fruits of a lifetime's inner work become gifts to the community. Anthroposophical eldercare seeks to support this unfolding rather than merely manage decline.

Open conversation for all membersAbout Sophia Commons
Sophia Commons is a free, community-maintained directory for the anthroposophical world: Waldorf schools, biodynamic farms, Camphill communities, anthroposophic medicine, eurythmy, study groups and more, in one place.
What's on the site
The directory
More than 4,500 organizations in 77 countries: Waldorf and Steiner schools, kindergartens and teacher trainings, biodynamic and Demeter farms, Camphill communities and curative education, anthroposophic doctors, clinics and therapists, eurythmy schools and ensembles, Christian Community congregations, anthroposophical societies and branches, eldercare, and a new science and technology section. Each listing has its contact details and, where we could find one, a picture. You can browse by category or region, see everything on the world map, or use "Find near me" to sort listings by distance. Open the Directory to start, or try the links to related directories on that page.
Events and news
The Events page brings together news from the movement and a shared calendar of conferences, courses, study groups, webinars and the festivals of the year. Every event can be added to your own Google, Outlook, Microsoft 365 or Apple calendar with one click. Members of the School of Spiritual Science will find First Class gatherings under Blue Card Holders on the Groups & Circles page.
For AI assistants and developers: the whole directory is free to use as JSON, CSV or one text file, events come as a calendar feed and news as an RSS feed. Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants that support MCP can connect to https://sophiacommons.org/mcp to search listings and events directly. Please credit Sophia Commons when you use the data.
Social media
Social Media follows about 70 anthroposophical YouTube channels and checks them every day for new videos. The newest one is featured at the top of that page as the video of the day. You can rate and review the channels, and you'll also find podcasts, video archives and the movement's accounts on X.
Books and library
Resources lists all of Rudolf Steiner's written works (GA 1 to 28) with links to read them free online, a Top 50 reading list with covers, a section on The Philosophy of Freedom with its translations and study guides, and close to 400 titles by Steiner and the authors who built on his work, from Sergei Prokofieff to Paul Emberson. Amazon links help keep the site free.
Daily practice
The right-hand column carries the week's verse from the Calendar of the Soul, the day's exercise from "For the Days of the Week", the Foundation Stone Meditation and the phases of the moon. They change on their own as the days and weeks go by.
Blog, In Memoriam and community chat
The blog publishes articles and reflections from members. In Memoriam remembers the people who carried anthroposophy forward, and you can add a tribute for someone you knew. Community Chat is a place for members to talk with each other.

News queue
Articles collected every morning from anthroposophical news feeds (Goetheanum, Das Goetheanum, Biodynamic, Waldorf, The Christian Community and others). Nothing appears on the News page until you click Publish. Each item links to the original article.
One person per line: an email, or a name and email (Anna Weber, anna@example.org). They're added as subscribed right away, with no confirmation email. Anyone who unsubscribed is never re-added.
Registered members
Newsletter subscribers
These email addresses are private. Use them only to run Sophia Commons, and only add people who asked to get the newsletter. To add people by hand, use the box at the top of this tab.
Listing claims
Organizations asking to manage their listing. Approving lets that member edit the listing's description, contact details, address and topics. Every change they make is logged.
Outreach queue
"Please check your listing" emails waiting to go out. Nothing here sends by itself: Open in Gmail starts a draft in your personal Gmail (cameron.nazeri@gmail.com) for you to review and send, then mark it sent. Send about 20 a day.
Book of the week
Five recommendations from the Anthroposophy section of the Rudolf Steiner Bookstore. Pick one to show it on the home page for that week (weeks start Monday). If you don't pick, the first one is shown.
Featured social media post
Shown at the top of Pages & Groups on the Social Media page. Paste the post's link (on Facebook: the post's date, then copy the address). Add the post's text in the Excerpt box so visitors can read it here, then click through to Facebook. Facebook only lets other sites show posts from public Pages; for a group post the Excerpt is required, since the post itself cannot be shown here. The newest featured post is shown; with none, the site shows a Page of the day.

Weekly Digest Generator
Every Monday morning a draft is built with the week's new videos (with short descriptions), upcoming events and new listings, and you get an email saying it is ready. Preview it below, then click Approve & email to send it to subscribers and post it on the News page. Nothing is sent without your approval.
