Ita Wegman
Co-founder of anthroposophic medicine alongside Rudolf Steiner. Established the first anthroposophic clinic in Arlesheim, Switzerland in 1921.
Ehrenfried Pfeiffer
Pioneer of biodynamic agriculture in North America. Founded the Threefold Farm and developed soil testing methods used worldwide.
Karl König

Albert Steffen

Privacy at Sophia Commons
Sophia Commons is a free community directory. We collect as little as we can, never sell data, and use it only to run the site. Last updated September 27, 2026.
What we collect
- Account details if you sign up: your email address and a password (stored securely by our database provider, Supabase). Your username is shown on chat messages and comments you post.
- What you submit: listings, events, memorial tributes and photos, comments, chat messages and reports. Submissions are reviewed before they appear.
- Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe.
- Usage statistics: pages viewed, a random session id, the referring page, browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language. We use this to see which parts of the site are useful. It does not include your name or email.
- Google Analytics collects similar anonymous usage statistics. Google Maps loads on the Directory page to show the map.
Stored on your device
Your language choice and, if you sign in, a login token are kept in your browser's local storage. We do not use advertising cookies.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run the site: Supabase (database and accounts), Netlify (hosting), Google (Analytics and Maps) and our email provider for the newsletter. We do not sell or rent personal data.
